Dear Neighbor,
If you get your health insurance through the open market, your annual open enrollment period — the time when you can change your coverage for 2020 — begins November 1 and continues through December 15. During this time, you can review your existing coverage, compare insurance plans, or enroll for coverage.
Here are five key facts to know during this enrollment period:
Open enrollment on the health care marketplace begins November 1 and lasts until December 15. Go to HealthCare.gov to sign up for or change your health care plan, and learn more about your plan options. |
Most people using HealthCare.gov qualify for financial assistance. Last year, more than eight in ten marketplace shoppers could find premiums for $100 per month or less. |
Already have coverage through HealthCare.gov for 2019? Different plans are offered each year, and your circumstances might have changed, so head to HealthCare.gov to shop and save for 2020. |
If you have questions about signing up or want to talk through your options with a trained professional, free help is just a call or click away, at 1-800-318-2596 or LocalHelp.HealthCare.gov. You can also use the Get Covered Connector to find help in your area. |
If you're enrolled in the open market, coverage for 2019 plans ends on December 31, 2019. Enroll before December 15 to make sure that you and your family are covered for 2020 by visiting HealthCare.gov. |
Sincerely,
