Regardless of how you vote, your vote matters, and your participation helps shape the future of our community, state, and country.
Protecting and strengthening our democracy is one of my top priorities in Congress, and I want to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote has the opportunity and ability to do so. Today is a fitting day to share a few actions you can take to make sure you are ready to vote:
- Register to Vote: If you have not registered to vote, or if you recently moved or changed your name, you can register or update your registration now. You can find the forms to register and information about voter registration online at www.votetexas.gov! The last day to register to vote is October 5, 2026. But why wait? If you are eligible to vote and not yet registered, take a minute to start your registration today.
- Check Your Registration Status: If you are unsure about your current voter registration status, don’t worry—it is easy to verify. Check your current registration status at the Texas Secretary of State’s website here.
Generations of Americans have fought to obtain, expand, and protect the right to vote. We honor their sacrifices by using it.
Best wishes,
