I will head back to Washington this week for a busy and productive final month of the 117th Congress. This week, the House will take up bipartisan bills address pressing issues facing our criminal justice system, H.R. 3372, the One Stop Community Reentry Program Act, and H.R. 6878, the Pregnant Women in Custody Act, which, if enacted, would institute a national standard for the provision of prenatal and post-delivery care to incarcerated women and their babies.
The House is also preparing to act on other important issues currently before the Senate, including the Respect for Marriage Act. The House is also preparing for the National Defense Authorization Act and for omnibus appropriations legislation to fund the government for the rest of fiscal year 2023, as the current Continuing Resolution expires December 16, 2022.
As always, I am honored to represent you and I am here to help you. Please call my office at (713) 353-8680 or (202) 225-2571 or email me at fletcher.house.gov/contact at any time to ask for assistance or share your thoughts. My team and I look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes and gratitude,
