(Houston, TX) – Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) released the following statement after testing negative for COVID-19:

“I am thankful to report that my COVID-19 test came back negative.  Although I did test positive for a different respiratory infection, I am now on the mend.  I am so grateful for the outpouring of support, and I know that our community joins me in sending that support to those who are fighting the COVID-19 virus now and to those who are caring for them.  Consistent with the ‘Stay Home, Work Safe’ order for Houston and Harris County, I will continue to work remotely for our district to ensure that we have the resources we need to fight the coronavirus—including testing and personal protective equipment—and to mitigate its impact in our community and across our country.”
