Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Announces 2025 Service Academy Nominees

Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced the nominees for appointments to the U.S. Service Academies for Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Earlier this week, she hosted a reception with the nominees celebrating their achievements. “It is a privilege to nominate these bright, dedicated students for an appointment to our country’s service academies,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “This year’s nominees have demonstrated their commitment to service and excellence through academics, community engagement, and leadership. Their patriotism and dedication to service represent what is best about our country.” Congresswoman Fletcher’s nominees are listed below by academy and current school: Nominations for appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy Andy Chang, Stephen F. Austin High School Dash Diaz, Homeschooled Varun Gite, Groton High School Oluwatimileyin Ibikunle, William B. Travis High School Nominations for appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy Adeeva Alli, Deerfield Academy John Corder, Bellaire High School Elizabeth Randall, Episcopal High School The United States Service Academies offer a first-class education as well as the opportunity for graduates to serve as commissioned officers in the United States Armed Forces upon graduation. A committee of service academy graduates advises Congresswoman Fletcher on nominations each year and she is grateful for their time and insight. Final acceptance to each academy is determined solely by the service academies. |
