(Washington, DC) – Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher announced that she is launching a “Valentines for Vets” initiative for Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Congresswoman Fletcher and her staff will collect cards from elementary schools across the district and deliver them to Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center on Valentine’s Day. Constituents of all ages are invited to submit cards and letters thanking local veterans for their service this Valentine’s Day by dropping them off at her office at 5599 San Felipe Road, Suite 950. “I am excited to announce our Valentines for Vets program,” said Congresswoman Fletcher. “This will be a small token of appreciation from our community to the men and women who have served in our armed services, and I encourage everyone to participate.” To participate in “Valentines for Vets,” members of the community are encouraged to drop off or mail the cards to Congresswoman Fletcher’s office before Friday, February 13, 2020.
