  • Spring Branch Health Center Grant

Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced that Spring Branch Community Health Center has been awarded a $3,099,900 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  Spring Branch Community Health Center is a non-profit community health center in Texas’ Seventh Congressional District that provides quality, affordable healthcare services to the underserved and uninsured communities of Spring Branch and West Houston.

“Spring Branch Community Health Center provides a wide range of health care services to those in our community who may otherwise not have access to them,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “Through the pandemic, it has been on the frontlines of combatting COVID-19.  This federal funding will help support its work keeping our community safe and healthy.”

“Spring Branch Community Health Center continues committed to providing healthcare services to those in need. Keeping our communities healthy is our number one priority.  HRSA Funding will support our mission of reducing health disparities in our most vulnerable communities,” said Marlen Trujillo, Chief Executive Officer for Spring Branch Community Health Center. “Thank you to our elected officials like Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher for supporting health centers!”

This funding was awarded through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Health Center Cluster Program at HHS.  This grant program has been tasked by Congress to help improve access to health care by building funding Community Health Centers, strengthening the health care workforce, and achieving health equity.
