Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) issued the following statement on a ceasefire to the hostilities in the Middle East:

“For more than a week, the escalation of violence and the loss of life has been heartbreaking, for our Jewish and Muslim neighbors and for all in our diverse community.  I am glad a ceasefire has been reached to bring an end to the hostilities and relief to the Israeli and Palestinian civilians who deserve to live without fear.  These events remind us of the need for a permanent, diplomatic, two-state solution to the decades-long conflict.”
