Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) welcomed First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy to Houston as they visited Texas Children’s Hospital.  The trip was part of their continued nationwide effort urging parents and guardians to vaccinate children ages 5-11 against COVID-19. 

“I was glad to welcome First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy to Houston as they continue their critical efforts to vaccinate children against COVID-19,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “The pandemic has been difficult for children and families, and getting children vaccinated is the best way to protect our kids and ensure students can continue learning in person.  I am grateful for the efforts of the Biden Administration to keep our kids safe and to end the COVID-19 pandemic.”
