Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) visited a new COVID-19 testing megasite in Texas’ Seventh Congressional District opened up by the Houston Health Department in partnership with Xpress COVID Testing.  The visit comes as COVID-19 positivity rates in Houston hit a record high this week driven by the Omicron variant.

“I was glad to visit the newly opened COVID-19 testing megasite to see firsthand how city and health officials are working to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to learn more about the resources available in our community,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “With the surge of the Omicron variant, it is critical that we work together to protect our loved ones by getting tested, vaccinated, and boosted, and I am grateful for the efforts of the Houston Health Department to keep our community safe.” 

The megasite is located at 6010 Richmond Avenue (the site of the former Dave & Busters) and will administer free tests from 9 AM to 3:30 PM daily during the month of January. Appointments are not required, but they can be scheduled here.
