Last night, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) held a virtual Community Conversation on the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).  The event featured Roger Guenther, Executive Director at Port Houston; Tom Lambert, Chief Executive Officer at Houston METRO; Jarrett Simmons, Chief Development Officer at Houston Airport System; and Byron Williams, Deputy District Engineer at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  The group discussed key priorities in the bill that will benefit the Houston region. 

“From expanding the Houston Ship Channel, to making broadband accessible to all and modernizing public transit, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is poised to change Houstonians’ lives for the better,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “This transformational bill makes important investments in key priorities in our community.  I am grateful for the work and collaboration of representatives from Port Houston, Houston METRO, Houston Airport System, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and I thank them for joining our Community Conversation to provide critical updates and answer questions.”
