Media Advisory: Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher to Host Press Conference Highlighting Nearly $625,000 in Funding for Jersey Village Water Lines

Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, May 4 to highlight $624,835 in federal funding she secured to replace water lines for approximately 55 homes in Jersey Village. The funding will replace sewer lines for approximately 25 homes, while the entire street will receive new storm sewer lines to help remove rain from streets to prevent street flooding and reduce the chance of home flooding on these blocks. Last year, Congresswoman Fletcher requested funding specifically for water line replacement in Jersey Village through the Community Funded Project process. Recently, President Biden signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, H.R. 2471, a bipartisan government funding bill that funds essential programs, including the water line replacement in Jersey Village.
