Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Advocates for Projects Benefiting Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, Moving Them Forward in House

Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced that fifteen projects benefiting Texas’ Seventh Congressional District that she requested have been included in legislation passed by subcommittees of the House Appropriations Committee, bringing them one step closer to House passage.

“I am pleased to announce that the Appropriations Committee is moving legislation forward that will provide Texas’ Seventh Congressional District with more than $31 million in federal funding for a variety of projects important to our community.  Each of the community funded projects I proposed will make a positive impact in our community – including funding the Houston Police Department’s mobile community storefront program, building much-needed water conveyance infrastructure to reduce flooding through repairs to Poor Farm Ditch, and supporting Harris County Public Health programs,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “I am also glad that funding was included for critical water infrastructure projects in the City of Bellaire, the City of Southside Place, and the City of West University Place.  I look forward to seeing these projects come before the House and I will continue working to deliver for our district.”
