Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Announces More Than 13,000 Matters Resolved on Behalf of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District Residents
Houston, TX,
January 26, 2024
Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced that her office has successfully resolved more than 13,000 matters for residents of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Her office assists residents with matters before federal agencies, including obtaining benefits from Social Security, Medicare, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as addressing matters before the Small Business Administration, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Internal Revenue Service, and others.
“Every day, our team of constituent advocates works to serve our constituents on matters of all kinds, including seeking assistance with federal agencies,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “I am grateful to the residents of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District who have put their trust in me and my team to help resolve some of their most pressing needs. I am proud of our team, and I look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors and helping our community in every way we can.” Below are some testimonials from constituents Congresswoman Fletcher and her team have helped: Social Security Administration “I contacted the Congresswoman’s office to get assistance with enrolling in Medicare. I found [Constituent Advocate] Fatimah to be very helpful, responsive, and thorough. I had waited over three months to hear from the Social Security Administration regarding my enrollment. After Fatimah’s involvement I got a call from a supervisor at the SSA saying my enrollment had been approved within the last 48 hours. “I believe without this office’s intervention, I’d still be waiting to hear from the SSA, which would have caused great hardship to me. Thanks for your help!” - Jo C. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services “I applied for citizenship three months ago and was worried that my application was stuck due to some process or system glitch. Rep. Fletcher’s office was very prompt and contacted USCIS to get updates and confirmation that the application is still in progress. “The staff at Rep. Fletcher’s office was very friendly and showed empathy in dealing with the case. Overall, I am impressed with the sense of urgency that Rep. Fletcher’s office has shown for just one member of her constituency.” - Hassan S. Internal Revenue Service “I contacted Congresswoman Fletcher’s office regarding an on-going IRS issue, which was never resolved. The agency gave me the run around for a year and two months. Within 90 days of contacting her office, I got my refund. “I am thankful for this ‘talk and do’ Congresswoman and her helpful, professional staff. This is a case of me investing in a capable person, which in turn is working for me. Thank you so much.” - Nike P. |
