Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Listens to More Than 1,200 Constituents on Telephone Town Hall
Washington, D.C.,
February 25, 2025
Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) hosted a telephone town hall with more than 1,200 of her constituents, responding to their questions and concerns about recent actions and orders from the Trump administration. She was joined by Assistant Democratic Leader Congressman Joe Neguse, Chair of the House Democratic Caucus’ new Rapid Response Task Force and Litigation Working Group, and Megan Uzzell, Director of Impact and External Affairs at Democracy Forward. “A lot has happened in Washington since January 20, and I have heard concerns and questions from so many members of our community,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “I was glad to be able to convene a large group of constituents to provide information and to answer questions about developments in Washington that are of great concern to people across our district. “I have always said that residents of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District want government that is efficient, effective, and ethical,” continued Congresswoman Fletcher. “What we have seen coming out of the Trump administration in recent weeks fails on all three counts – and that was the overwhelming message from participants. I was glad to have Assistant House Democratic Leader Joe Neguse and Megan Uzzell from Democracy Forward share their perspectives on what is happening in Congress and what is happening in the Courts, and to hear from constituents about what is happening in our community.” Since her election to office, Congresswoman Fletcher has held dozens of town halls, community conversations, and other events across Texas’ Seventh Congressional District.
