Houston,
August 20, 2025
Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced that her office has successfully resolved more than 15,500 matters for residents of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Her office assists residents with matters before federal agencies, including obtaining benefits from Social Security, Medicare, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as addressing matters before the Small Business Administration, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Internal Revenue Service, and other federal government agencies. “Every day, our team of constituent advocates works to serve our constituents on matters of all kinds, helping those seeking assistance with federal agencies,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “I am grateful to the residents of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District who have put their trust in me and my team to help resolve some of their most pressing problems. I am proud of our team, and I look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors and helping our community in every way we can.” Below are some testimonials from constituents Congresswoman Fletcher and her team have helped: Social Security Administration “I wanted to thank Representative Fletcher and her team for helping me with my Social Security application. I had submitted the paperwork way back in 2018 but had no progress until [Constituent Advocates] Fatimah and Sara became involved with my case in 2024. Thanks to their efforts, my case was acted upon, and my application was processed. I don’t know what would have happened with[out] Representative Fletcher’s help in this matter. Our family appreciates the care and responsiveness received from all of the staff!” - Robert K. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services “I contacted Congresswoman Fletcher’s office to request assistance in expediting the scheduling of my Naturalization Oath Ceremony due to a critical family medical emergency. My mother was in critical condition overseas, and I urgently needed to complete the naturalization process to obtain a U.S. passport for international travel. “Congresswoman Fletcher and her staff, particularly [Constituent Advocate] Fatimah, were incredibly supportive and responsive. They promptly reached out to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on my behalf, advocating for my case and ensuring my request received the necessary attention. Their efforts played a crucial role in helping me navigate the process during a difficult time, and I sincerely appreciate their dedication and commitment to assisting constituents like me.” - Usman A. United States Department of State “I requested Congresswoman Fletcher’s office to help expedite the Apostille of my Certificate of Naturalization by the U.S. Department of State. I needed the document in a month or less instead of the 8-12 weeks indicated by the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Fatimah, a member of the Congresswoman’s office, took over my case and followed up professionally and diligently. Ms. [Fatimah] identified and promptly communicated to me an issue with one of the tracking numbers associated with sending this document, so I was able to correct it, thus successfully receiving the Apostille in less than one month, as needed. Ms. [Fatimah] and the rest of the Congresswoman’s office staff treated me very courteously and efficiently, with respect, and with an honest and clear lookout for my need, so the desired outcome was handily achieved. Thank you!” - Alexandros K. |
