Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher Announces 2026 Service Academy Nominees

Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced the nominees for appointments to the U.S. Service Academies from Texas’ Seventh Congressional District. Earlier this week, she hosted a reception with the nominees celebrating their achievements. “It is a privilege and a pleasure to nominate these bright, dedicated students for an appointment to our country’s service academies,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “This year’s nominees have demonstrated their commitment to service and excellence through academics, community engagement, and leadership. Their patriotism and dedication to service represent what is best about our country, and we need them now more than ever.” Congresswoman Fletcher’s nominees are listed below by academy and current school:

Nominations for appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy Aayushi Bharati, Carnegie Vanguard High School Rachel Curry, St. Agnes Academy Alyssa Holtman, Foster High School Luke Nanna, St. John's School Marvin Sapon, George Bush High School The United States Service Academies offer a first-class education as well as the opportunity for graduates to serve as commissioned officers in the United States Armed Forces upon graduation. A committee of service academy graduates advises Congresswoman Fletcher on nominations each year and she is grateful for their time and insight. Final acceptance to each academy is determined solely by the service academies.
